I had my self doubt episode, and it was the most unproductive period of my life.

People always said that be kind to yourself. I don't really get it at first. I thought by being critical to myself, it will make me achieve a new height in life.

Like a NOS powered racing car, where being critical to myself is the extra fuel that drives the car faster.

I was wrong.

For some people, you are seen as living the best life imaginable to them. Full of possibilities, living a life that one only can envy.

Deep inside, you doubt yourself. You think that you don't deserve the life you experiencing. You stop finding little joy in life. You make small hiccup a big failure.

Suddenly, you are miserable. No enjoyable stories you can share with your friends. Always in survival mode.

Anxiety is your new friend. Depression builds up.

Sensing the danger it could lead, I decided to tweak the way I think.

First thing in the morning, I told myself that today will be a great day. I find small wins for the day that would make myself happy. I share it with my friends.

I start experiencing life again. Thank God I did not fall into depression. I do understand how depression can change someone. I hope my wife will always be strong.

As Tim Robbins said, "You are not experiencing life as it's actually is. You're experiencing life that you choose to focus on". There, I highlighted the choose word.

Why choice is important here?

Choosing is power. Choosing is life. If you're not choosing, you stop having life as a human. Don't let anyone else shape you.

Choose to be friend with yourself. Choose to be kind to your mind. Choose to make today better than yesterday.

Your world will change. So is your energy. Lets be positive.
